Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command said it arrested four suspected traffic robbers at Ojota, on Sunday, December 24, 2023.
Spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the suspects were arrested after victims alerted RRS bike riders on patrol at MKO Abiola’s Garden around the Ojota area.
Hundeyin revealed that items recovered from the suspects, who were arrested at about 7:30 pm, included three Android phones and one ATM card.
The suspects are Wasiu Olawale (23) an ex-convict, who was earlier released in May 2023; Adebayo Olatunbosun (20), Wale John (28), and the gang leader, Uche Ugwu (25).
Hundeyin disclosed that five victims reported at RRS Headquarters where they successfully identified the suspects.
Meanwhile, the police spokesman said the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
