In a demonstration of its resolve to fostering peace, love, and unity in diversity, the Plateau State Government has concluded arrangements to host the second edition of the Plateau Unity Christmas Carols and Praise Festival, a celebration of faith, gratitude, and togetherness.

The 2025 edition of the festival is designed to strengthen the bonds of friendship among the people of Plateau, while celebrating the shared unity in diversity that defines the state. It also provides a profound opportunity for Christians within and beyond Nigeria to praise God and appreciate His unfailing love, abundant blessings, and divine protection over Plateau State and the nation at large.

The Central Planning Committee, under the leadership of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has made preparations to ensure a successful and memorable event that will inspire hearts and uplift spirits.

Distinguished guests expected to grace the occasion include:

Gen. Dr. Yakubu Gowon, former Head of State – Special Guest of Honour

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former President

Hon. Hannatu Musa Musawa, Esq., Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy

Guest speakers at the festival will include:

Pastor Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, former Vice President

Pastor Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja

The festival, scheduled to hold from Friday, November 28, to Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Ten Commandments Prayer Altar, Du, Jos South Local Government Area, will commence daily at 3:30pm.

The event will be enlivened by the electrifying ministrations of renowned gospel artistes including Sinach, Buchi, Uche and Loretta, as well as the Kungiyan Nasari Choir from Katsina State.

Other participants include Plateau indigenes residing in Abuja, denominational choirs, women’s fellowships, singing groups, musicians, and choristers from the Southern and Central Senatorial Zones. A special children’s quiz and scripture recitation segment will also form part of the festival highlights.

Preparations are ongoing to expand the venue’s capacity and create strategic viewing areas where participants can comfortably sit or stand to experience God’s Glorious presence. Additionally, cubicles for vendors will be provided, while over 60 corporate organizations have been invited to partner and participate.

As the season of joy approaches, residents across Plateau’s 17 local government areas are encouraged to embrace the Christmas spirit by decorating their homes, churches, and business premises, reflecting the beauty of unity, hope, and divine love that the season represents.
