A leading presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, has described the party’s recent victory in three states namely Cross River, Ondo and Plateau as a sign of victory ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Ohuabunwa, who doubles as Convener of the New Nigeria Group (NNG), in a goodwill message to the party, said the victory in the bye-elections in the three states is a sure sign that Nigerian masses are tired of the maladministration of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
“The victory of PDP in the three states is a strong warning to APC that Nigerians are tired of them and cannot wait to throw them out come 2023,” Ohuabunwa stated.
The Convener of NNG blamed the ruling APC for the excruciating poverty, insecurity and unemployment, which have become the lot of Nigerians in the last seven years.
He noted that APC has failed the country and the electorate are determined – as they demonstrated in those three states – to kick the ruling party out of power come 2023.
Ohuabunwa, therefore, enjoined PDP to build on its victory in the just concluded bye-elections in the three states, in order to consolidate its drive to victory in the 2023 general elections.
He also restated his resolve to build a new Nigeria that will guarantee security, provide employment, and create wealth for the citizens.
Ohuabunwa stated confidently that he has the blueprint to turn the tide for the better, and urged Nigerians across religious, ethnic and party lines to line up behind him in his quest to build a new Nigeria of equal citizenship for all.
