Abia State Governor-elect, Dr Alex Otti, has pledged to run a prudent administration devoid of wasteful spending, which he said would help create opportunities for business ideas to thrive in the State.
The promise was contained in a statement he personally issued on Friday.
He stated that he would do everything within his power to carry Abians along, as well as empower them.
Otti, who appreciated all the members of his campaign team, assured them that he would not take their sacrifices for granted.
The statement read: “I understand that a lot of people are lobbying for appointments. Unfortunately, we cannot appoint everybody, but I can assure you that the government is big enough to empower people and support ideas and businesse;, that’s what governments do all over the world. We are going to support people, just come up with your ideas.
“We will not run a bogus system and we will not indulge in waste, because it would amount to hypocrisy if we turn around to do the same thing we accused the present government of doing,” he added.
