Obi, Tinubu, Atiku, Kwankwaso  sympathise with Davido, Chioma over son’s death

The four leading presidential candidates for the 2023 general elections have condoled with Afrobeats singer, Davido and his fiancée Chioma Rowland, on the death of their son, Ifeanyi.

Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) expressed their condolences to the bereaved family via twitter on Tuesday, while also praying for them.

Obi specifically prayed to God for healing, strength and comfort for Davido and Chioma over the passing of their son.

“I send my sincere condolences to Davido and Chioma, over the death of their son Ifeanyi. I cannot begin to imagine the pains they are going through at the moment. May God grant them healing, strength and comfort in this trying time. My thoughts and prayers are with the family,” Obi wrote.

On his part, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate,

Tinubu stated: “Oluremi and I send our heartfelt and deepest condolences to David, Chioma, and the entire Adeleke family over the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May the Lord grant them the fortitude and strength to deal with this painful tragedy.”

Kwankwaso tweeted: “My heart and prayers go to David Adeleke @davido and Chioma, in this very trying time. May God guide and keep you through this tragic period. – RMK.”

Atiku said: “My thoughts and prayers are with Davido and Chioma and the Adeleke family at this time. I pray for God to strengthen and comfort them. –AA.”
