*Receives warn welcome at computer village, Ladipo auto spare parts market
Less than two weeks to the February 25 presidential election, the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has taken his campaign to market men and women in Lagos.
Obi has visited some markets in Lagos State to rally support. Apart from the popular Alaba International Market, where he touched on Saturday en route the Tafawa Balewa Square venue of the Mega rally, Obi specifically visited Computer Village where traders turned out in their numbers to receive him.
Some of the traders said they are supporting him because he knows where the shoe pinches, adding that his in the best position to provide succour.
Whatever was the turnout is at the Computer village, the number was much more at Ladipo Spare Parts Market in the Oshodi area of the State.
The excitement on the faces of the traders was unmistakable. Obi’s march through the market was stalled by supporters who said their action was not for any immediate benefit.
There were chants of various solidarity songs a bid to express their excitement over the visit of the former governor of Anambra State.
