NNPP accuses Tinubu of inflicting hardship on Nigerians

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s leadership style, regretting that it has caused untold hardships for Nigerians.

The leader of NNPP and former governorship candidate in Jigawa State, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, disclosed this after receiving thousands of APC and PDP loyalists who defected to NNPP on Wednesday in Dutse.

Malam Aminu described Tinubu’s administration as dictatorial, arguing that, with the abundance of resources Nigeria is blessed with, Nigerians do not deserve the current hardship under the APC-led government.

He added that, as an opposition party, they had given the ruling party the benefit of the doubt for almost a year, but there is still nothing to show. Therefore, they have concluded arrangements to challenge the ruling party at the national and State levels.

Malam Aminu explained that the purpose of the gathering was to meet with the leadership of NNPP in all 27 local governments in Jigawa State to discuss and design ways to save Nigerians from hardship.

He further stated that, as an opposition party, NNPP will not allow the situation to continue.

He said: “We must challenge the ruling party to do what is right, as Nigerians are entitled to survive without untold hardship.”

Malam Aminu called on Nigerians to avoid repeating the mistake of “collect and vote” in the next general elections to save the country’s future.
