The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of its petrol, according to reports on Thursday.
The new pump price of N890 per litre reflected at NNPCL retail outlets in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), down from the previous N945 per litre.
It represents a N55 reduction in the pump price.
Specifically, the new price reflected at NNPCL retail outlets such as mega station Danziyal Plaza, Central Area, Wuse Zone 4, Wuse Zone 6, and other of its filling stations in the nation’s capital.
On the heels of the latest development, other filling station such as MRS Empire Energy also adjusted their pump price to N885 and N946 per litre, down from N910 and N955 per litre.
The latest price slash may not be unconnected with the Dangote Refinery’s ex-depot petrol price, which is now N820 per litre from N850 and the price of crude oil in the international market.
