The British High Commission has refuted reports circulating in the public space, which suggest that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu was arrested in the United Kingdom.
The Commission clarified in a statement that indeed Nnamdi Kanu was not arrested in the United Kingdom.
A spokesperson of the British High Commission, Mr. Dean Hurlock, said emphatically that Kanu was not picked up in the UK where he is based.
Kanu is a UK citizen and has been living there since 2017 when he escaped from Nigeria.
