Nigeria, on Sunday, recorded 269 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed the figure as the day’s total, recorded in 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The development brings the total number of recorded cases in the country so far to 158,506.
NCDC made the announcement on Sunday while giving a report on daily cases via its official website.
The health agency also confirmed five deaths and 80 community recoveries in Kwara State.
