In its quest to ensure that every Nigerian citizen and all legal residents have easy access to NIN registration services at no financial cost, NAPI TECHNOGIES LTD, one of the leading Front End Partners for the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), has completed the training of its 15th batch of enrollment agents to be deployed to rural communities in the South West and South South of Nigeria, to carry out enrollment of all eligible persons in the regions into the National Identity Database of Nigeria.
The training, which was carried out at the NAPI TECHNICAL SUPPORT HUB located at the FAAN Shopping Plaza, Ikeja, Lagos, had participants from Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Ogun, Delta, Rivers, Edo and Cross Rivers states (Physically and Virtually).
The series of training began on July 15, and rounded off on July 23, 2025.
NAPI said that each valid NIN represents a Human Life, adding that its possession determines the validity of our citizenship and access to all the rights and privileges of citizenship. It has the same weight as the SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER or the GREEN CARD, as obtainable in the Western world.
The training is a step-down exercise provided to the company’s training personnel by the NIMC, with support from the ID4D (Identity for Development) programme of the World Bank.
The CEO of NAPI, Alfred Okeme, said that the trained agents are now being deployed to local neighborhoods in the South West and South South to enrol the people free of charge, in the coming days.
The CEO, supported by the South South Regional Chief of Operations, Chief Chuks Esogbue, enjoined the general public to receive the agents into their communities, schools, farm camps, creeks, hamlets and every nook and cranny for the enrollment of men, women, youths, children and infants for the issuance of the NIN free of charge.
