The Naira, on Wednesday, depreciated further against the American dollar at the official window of the foreign exchange market.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the Naira closed at N1, 536.73/$1 as against the N1, 534.93/$1 it traded on Tuesday.
This represents a loss of N1.80 for the local currency against the American greenback.
In the black market, the Naira closed flat against the dollar to trade at N1,545/$1.
It, however, lost N10 against the British Pound to trade at N2,110/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N2,100/£1.
The local currency continued to close flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,200/CA$1.
The Naira lost N5 against the Euro to trade at N1,795/€1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,790/€1.
