The Naira, on Friday, depreciated further against the American dollar at the official window of the foreign exchange (FX) market.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the Naira closed at N1,442.43/$1, as against the N1,441.44/$1 it traded on Thursday.
This represents a loss of N0.99 for the local currency against the American greenback.
The Naira lost N3 against the dollar to trade at N1,460/$1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,467/$1.
The local currency gained N20 against the British Pound to trade at N1,920/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,940/£1.
It closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,100/CA$1.
The Naira lost N5 against the Euro to trade at N1,680/€1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,675/€1.
