Meet hottest female Dee Jay celebrities in Nigeria

Perhaps the saying:  what a man can do, a woman can also do, best describes these pretty ladies. They have carved a niche for themselves in a male-dominated vocation. Welcome to the world of Nigeria’s finest female Dee Jays.
Frances Tamunonengiyeofori (Onengiye) Higgwe, known as DJ Frizzle, is a graduate of Environmental Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, River State.  She is Kalabari by tribe. This talented artiste is also a song writer and music producer. She is the sister of another hit maker, Frank d Nero, who sang “cure my crazy”.  Dj Frizzle came to the limelight after she did a remix of  Whizkid’s hit song holla at ur boy, which  she titled “don’t holla at me boy”.  This suave and beautiful lady was nominated as Female DJ of the year, in Nigeria’s entertainment awards 2015, Exquisite Lady of the Year (ELOY) awards, and most recently, Beatz Awards 2015.


DJ Lambo

Olawunmi Okerayi known as Dj Lambo is a graduate of English and Literature from University of Abuja. This plum lady stands out in the crowd with her hair style which is specifically brownish in colour, a passion she inherited from her Dj father, Tony Lewis.

She released a single in 2015 and is signed to Loopy Music. Dj Lambo is the official DJ of Chocolate City Music and also the official DJ of Jude Abaga, aka MI. She describes herself as a shark that never gives up.
She cut her teeth with Ray Power 100.5 Fm, from where she moved to Rhythm 94.7 Fm before pitching her tent with Love Fm.  She is hopeful of becoming the best female DJ in
Africa. She has won several awards and has been nominated for Best Female DJ in Africa in the African Global DJ Awards (AGDA).

 DJ Switch

Obianuju Catherine Udeh popularly known as DJ Switch came to limelight when she won the  maiden edition of GLO XFACTOR  worth N24million. She was also a member of the music group Pulse that featured in 2009 edition of Star Trek, a music competition organized by the Nigeria Breweries to discover new musical groups.

A graduate of Geography, University of Port Harcout, River State, this single mother of one can hold her own among her male counterparts. Born in 1987, and hails from Udi in Enugu State, DJ Switch’s creative nature on the wheels of steels has gained her a lot of respect from her fans especially the male folk. She has worked with notable acts such as P-Square and  she is the official DJ of GLO Dance Competition.

 

Dj Nana

Born Nanayat Adebo in Kogi State, she studied at the National Open University and is one of the hottest female Dee Jays in the country today. This beautiful lady is  known for her trade mark head tie. Known as DJ Nana, she hit  limelight when she won the Airtel/Barcaddi Cool FM competition. She has played in a lot of prominent events including AY Live, MTN 10th anniversary and recently, the first DJ to appear on Alibaba Seriously, a talk show hosted by king of comedy, Alibaba on NTA . The awards winning disc jockey is recognized as the first female DJ in Nigeria and has been growing very fast ever since she came under the DJ Jimmy Jatt Inc. owned by legendary DJ Jimmy Jatt.

DJ Cuppy

This compilation will not be complete without mentioning Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, also known as DJ Cuppy, the beautiful daughter of oil magnate and billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola. Cuppy graduated from King’s College London in July 2014, with a degree in Business and Economics. She recently completed her Master ‘s degree in Music  Business  from New York University. In July 2014, she released her first compilation mix called House of Cuppy in London and Lagos. Same year, she  launched her  music management and content production business, Red Velvet Music Group now located in London. In 2016, Cuppy moved to London. On October 13 this year, she released ‘Green Light’, her first official single featuring Tekno.
