Med-view Airline Plc has apologised to passengers over disruption in its flight schedule on Thursday and early Friday, which left several passengers stranded at Lagos and Abuja airports.
The situation was attributed to a fault detected on the operating aircraft. The affected flights were the Lagos-Abuja, Abuja-Yola, and Abuja-Maiduguri routes.
Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the airline, Mr. Michael Ajigbotosho, apologised for the inconveniences suffered by passengers, saying: “We have put in place relief measures with the use of charter flights this Friday (yesterday) and Saturday (today); by then the operating aircraft would have been back to service.”
Ajigbotosho emphasised that safety takes priority over any other consideration in all operations of the airline, and would not be compromised under any circumstance.
The airline has lately been faced with capacity issues, forcing a temporary suspension of its regional and international operations.
The airline, last month, blamed the temporary suspension of its London, Dubai and West Coast routes on a bad leasing arrangement of the two operating airplanes servicing the routes.
