My dear Alex,
In your humble manner, you often choose to address me as your elder brother, and at times as “Papa”. I am indeed delighted to have you not only as a brother and son, but also as a transformative leader of our time and the real champion of good governance in our dear Abia State. I am deeply proud of you.
Within the first twelve months of your leadership as an Executive Governor, you have transformed Abia from the worst governed and demeaned State in Nigeria to one of the most attractive, most respected, most valued and admired state; it has become the fastest growing and developing state in the country today. It is crystal clear that you have successfully cleaned up, lightened up and transformed the hitherto dirty, stinking and sinking Abia State that was known for its backwardness in all indices to a beautiful bride, forward-going, upward-looking State with lights of hope and massive reconstruction of roads going on almost everywhere.
You have touched almost every area of need of our people: roads, electricity, health, education, security, economy, job creation, empowerment and welfare. Pensioners and workers are now rejoicing in Abia State. Hope and development are palpable everywhere. Seaport, railroads, airport, economic and tech hubs among others are surely coming on steam in fulfilment of your campaign promises in your manifesto.
We are looking forward to your actualizing them fully very soon. We remain proud of you. Jisike!
Be mindful that your political detractors are envious of the achievements you have made so far and are still making. It should, naturally, be expected.
Thankfully they are few; very few in number. In fact, pockets of such envious people – particularly those who never wished Abia and Abians well, those who partook in the infamous old Abia ‘blood tonic’ – dot the political landscape of our communities.
Needless to warn that they may continually throw spanner in the good works you are doing, just to embarrass you. Don’t be distracted or discouraged by their antics. Just stay focused. The only sure way to put them to perpetual shame is to continue to do the right things, perform much better and achieve greater successes steadily.
“Think Abia First”; that was the mantra that attracted some of us to you in your quest to liberate Abia, a tortuous journey that started about nine years ago. Yet you remained focused, setting your eyes on the ball – to liberate Abia State from the shackled grip of evil, darkness and backwardness.
They rigged you out twice in a row. They tried it the third time in 2023 but were put to shame. God stood with you and with the people of Abia State. God chose an Amazon to put them to shame and uphold the will of the Abians.
God will continue to bless Prof Nnenna Oti. Thank God you are there today and most likely for the next seven years. The difference is already clear.
Congratulations on your first one year of good leadership in the governance of Abia State. No doubt, you have achieved greater things in only 12 months of your administration than what PDP could not achieve throughout their 24 unbroken years of reign of ruins, and squandering of Abia State’s commonwealth and resources. Thank you for liberating Abia State.
Just one year; only one year and you have made all the difference already. You will surely perform very much better and achieve the best for Ndi Abia within the next seven years of your consistent excellent performances, which will definitely bring greater joy to the people. Keep working for the good of the people who elected you to serve them.
We desire it. We are all proud of you. To God be the glory!
