May 29: Biden names 9-man presidential delegation to attend Tinubu’s inauguration

United State President, Joe Biden, has unveiled a list of Presidential delegations to attend the inauguration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday, May 29, 2023, in Nigeria.

The delegation, which will be led by Secretary of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, Marcia L. Fudge, was announced in a White House statement on Monday night.

This is coming one week after the United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, called Tinubu and assured him of a cordial working relations between both countries.

The full list of the delegation includes David Greene, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., U.S. Embassy Abuja; Honourable Sydney Kamlager-Dove, United States Representative (D), California; and Honourable Marisa Lago, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, U.S. Department of Commerce.

Others are General Michael E. Langley, Commander of U.S. Africa Command; Honourable Enoh T. Ebong, Director, U.S. Trade and Development Agency; Honourable Mary Catherine Phee, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of African Affairs, U.S. Department of State; Honourable Judd Devermont, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for African Affairs, National Security Council; and Honourable Monde Muyangwa, Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Africa, U.S. Agency for International Biden
