It was all in a genuine quest to boost the revenue base of Anambra State on assumption of office as governor that Professor Chukwuma Soludo went in search of a round peg, to fit into a round hole.
He searched deep, into the inner recesses of financial institutions, and fished out a man described as an ideal pick for the job.
Soludo, himself with eyes for the best, found Mr. Richard Nwora Madiebo, a professional who had made his mark in his chosen banking career.
Madiebo holds a BA degree from University of Calabar and an MBA from University of Lagos.
A certified member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and Nigeria Institute of Management, Madiebo has done several Executive courses in Harvard Business School, Wharton and Northwestern University, and Kellogg School of Management, USA.
He has participated in various digital transformation efforts in banks in the core application of electronic banking.
A veteran in Tax and Revenue business, Madiebo has over two decades banking experience and has also established the Franchise Collections Desk in many banks, in addition to his other tasks in the bank.
This function has seen him work with most states of the Federation in deploying revenue collections programmes.
He has also worked with various Federal and State agencies in the Deployment of Franchise Collections over the years.
Satisfied to have found the ideal man for the job, Soludo appointed Richard Nwora Madiebo as the Executive Chairman of Anambra State Internal Revenue Service on March 21, 2022.
Given his past successes at his previous jobs, there is no doubt that Madiebo will excel in his current position, thereby lifting Anambra State’s revenue prospect.
