The Lagos State Government has concluded plans to reintroduce monthly sanitation, after eight years suspension.
The programme is scheduled for re-launch on Saturday, July 13, 2024, on Lagos Island,
Governor Babajide Sanwa-Olu had, while inspecting a cleanup operation of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway sometime last year, hinted that his administration was considering the reintroduction of its monthly environmental sanitation programme to ensure cleanliness in the State.
The governor expressed intention of the government to collaborate with the Minister of Environment to explore the feasibility of reinstating the monthly environmental exercise.
