Labour Party unveils final list of Campaign Council, for inauguration on Friday

* Doyin Okupe remains D-G

The Labour Party (LP) plans to inaugurate its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) on Friday following a final review of the original list.

Its National Chairman, Julius Abure, said the Labour Party has reviewed its Presidential Campaign Council with Dr Doyin Okupe remaining in his position as Director-General, and Alhaji Muhammed Zarewa as the Chairman of the Campaign Council.

According to Abure, the PCC list is made up of 1,453 members with various committees.

He urged “patriotic members and supporters” of the party and its presidential candidate to “remain committed” regretting that “it will not be possible to accommodate all interests in the PCC”.

The party is “committed to enthroning patriotic leadership in Nigeria if voted into power come 2023,” Abure said through a statement.

He also called on Nigerians to continue to support LP to deliver all the candidates of the party in the elections.
