Judiciary won’t subvert justice to please you, APGA campaign chieftain tells Andy Uba

The Deputy Director of State Campaign Committee for APGA in the just concluded Anambra governorship election, Dr Simeon Onyemaechi, has advised the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Andy Uba, not to waste his time challenging the election result in court, warning that he will be thoroughly disappointed.

Onyemaechi gave the admonition in Awka, saying it would amount to an effort in futility should Senator Uba or anyone else attempt to contest the outcome of the election in court.

He, therefore, explained that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did a good job in Anambra State, which he said the rest of the world saw as the most credible and most transparent of all the elections conducted by the electoral umpire.

Onyemaechi said he was in the field on the election day and saw what transpired, pointing out that anyone bent on rubbishing a process that is not supposed to be rubbished will have his fingers burnt and himself rubbished in the end.

He said there is a need to collectively join hands with Professor Chukwuma Soludo for him to deliver on the manifesto that he has promised, saying that Soludo does not need any distractions but needs to hit the ground running as he mounts the saddle.
