Israeli Army strikes, responds to projectiles fired by Hamas

The Israeli Army on Thursday attacked two locations inside the Gaza Strip, according to agency reports.

The attacks targeted Hamas, the Islamist group that rules Gaza, using both tank and air power.

The strikes were apparently in retaliation for a rocket attack from Gaza earlier in the day.

The military said two rockets were launched towards Israel, but fell short of their intended destination and landed inside Gaza.

This development is coming barely 24 hours after US President, Donald Trump recognised Jerusalem the capital of Israel.
