A leading entrepreneur and statesman, Mr. Fidel Anujuo, has called on fellow Imo indigenes to give Senator Hope Uzodinma massive and overruling support.
Anujuo also called specifically on the sacked governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, to accept his fate, as the final court of the land – the Supreme Court – has spoken.
Anujuo said: ”Ihedioha as a Knight of the Christian persuasion should accept that it is God that gives and takes power. Ihedioha should come to knowledge that he serves best who serves the will of God as expressed by men. The Supreme Court judges are impartial members and have given judgment in the best of traditions. And that should stand.”
Also, Anujuo stated that it is important that Ihedioha and supporters should not give the impression that they are intent on rubbishing the judiciary just to advance their personal or political ambitions.
“The Supreme Court is the imprimatur of our civilized order. One cannot ridicule or destroy the judiciary and still have governance.”
Anujuo thus called on those protesting to stop forthwith.
“Imo State is not the estate of Ihedioha. The important thing is that Imo State is driven to the part of progress and development. Today, if any man can deliver a new vision and a prosperous Imo, Uzodinma is that man. He has not only distinguished himself as a corporate mogul, but his tenure as senator remains a landmark of legislative achievement.”
Anujuo
advised Senator Uzodinma to ensure that he deploys this rare opportunity to
write his name in gold in the annals of history.
“He must dedicate himself and quicken the drive for the rapid industrialization
of Imo State. He should insist on a pan-Imo agenda and should never give up on
listening on the people. Imo people and their good alone are the reason he is a
leader. He should pay attention to that salient fact,” he concluded.
