I’m offering myself to save Nigeria so that it won’t die, Peter Obi declares

The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has said he is offering himself to be president of Nigeria to save the country from death.

He said Nigeria has consistently hired vehicle drivers instead of hiring qualified pilots to pilot its affairs.

Obi spoke in an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday.

The former governor of Anambra State said his commitment is to let his campaign dwell on challenges in the country, recognizing that there are lots of problems bedeviling the country.

Obi expressed the concern that Nigeria would soon default on its debt servicing, saying that is what should pre-occupy the leaders now.

He added that this election would not be based on ‘my turn’, ethnicity, and religion, but based on a “national agenda to save this Nigeria”.

“Nigeria is in a coma, and it needs a specialist, and that is why I’m offering to save its life or it will die. I’m appealing to people to vote to save Nigeria; and to save Nigeria is to hire the best,” he posited.

The Labour Party presidential candidate said realizing that Nigeria is in a coma and needs an expert to save it, the best bet for Nigerians is to vote him (Peter Obi) as the best man for the job and not because of primitive consideration.
