Ibom Village climbed to the top of the league table in the ongoing Ibom Waterfall Cup female football competition after securing a 2-0 victory over hard fighting Amuvi village, on the 4th day of the tournament.
Abigail opened scoring early in 6th minute of the first half, while Peace Okoro increased the lead in the 46th.
All efforts by Amuvi to reduce the deficit proved abortive because of the well-coordinated Ibom defence.
With this result, Ibom is on top of the table with four points after two matches.
Amangwu is second on the table with three points from one match.
