Amannagwu girls, on Wednesday, defeated their Amuvi opponents by 1-0 in the ongoing Ibom Waterfall Cup female football tournament in Arochukwu.
The 24th minute goal from Uzoma Okereke in jersey no 9, was all the Amannagwu team needed to clinch a narrow win.
Uzoma Okereke scored her third goal of the competition to join Peace Okoronkwo of Obinkita village who bagged a hat trick in her team’s earlier match against Ugbo.
With three goals apiece, they are in competition for the highest goal scorer, and eyeing the golden ball or boot award.
