The University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) has confirmed that Mrs. Kareem Adenike would need to undergo further surgery, to treat her ‘Rectal Cancer’ condition.
The Chief Medical Director of UITH, Prof A.D Yussuf, in his evaluation and medical report, said that Mrs. Adenike had an initial abdominal surgery for the treatment of the cancer followed with chemotherapy.
However, he said there is recurrence of the cancer, which will require further treatment.
