The Paramount ruler of Ikulu in Zangon Katag Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Mr. Yohanna Kukah, has been kidnapped along with one of his guards.
It was learnt that the gunmen invaded the palace of the traditional ruler at about 9:00 pm, and ordered him to come out of the house.
One of the guards, who reportedly made efforts to thwart the abduction of the monarch, was allegedly taken away by the marauders.
Having taken them captive, the kidnappers reportedly drove away the duo in a waiting car, to an unknown destination.
The traditional ruler is said to be the younger brother of Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah.
Meanwhile, barely two days ago on Monday morning, gunmen shot and killed a traditional ruler and his wife in a village in Sanga Local Government Area of the state.
As at the time of filing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna State, Hussain Mukhtar Aliyu, could not confirm the incident .
