Gunmen invade Catholic seminary in Kaduna, abduct seminarians

The Police in Kaduna State have confirmed the abduction of some students by gunmen from Saint Albert the Great Institute of Philosophy.

The school, located in Kagoma chiefdom of Jema’a Local Government Area, is a seminary belonging to the Catholic Church.

Reports say the gunmen invaded the school on Monday night, shooting sporadically before whisking away the students. The college authorities are yet unsure of the number of students the bandits abducted.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the development, adding that investigations had begun into the incident.
