Convener of the League for Good Governance, Isaiah Ijele, has called on President Bola Tinubu to allow the Department of State Services (DSS) investigate the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate scandal swirling the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Ijele made this call on Saturday during an interview on Arise Television.
Tunji-Ojo was alleged to have his NYSC certificate.
Ijele said: “Alleged certificate forgery led to the resignation of the former Minister of Finance, Ms. Kemi Adeosun, and more recently, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Mr. Uche Nnaji.
“Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo’s case should not be treated differently, regardless of his performance as minister. The integrity of this administration will be judged by how it handles Tunji-Ojo’s situation.
“If President Tinubu refuses to allow the DSS to investigate the minister over the NYSC allegations, it will undermine the rule of law in Nigeria.”
