Gov Sanwo-Olu meets security chiefs amid rising threats

Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, chaired a crucial meeting of the Lagos State Security Council to review the current security situation across the State.

Sanwo-Olu emphasised that the peace enjoyed by Lagos residents remains non-negotiable.

He said the State is taking some proactive measures in enhancing the security of lives and property.

In a terse statement on his verified X handle, the governor said: “Today, I met with the State Security Council to take a closer look at our security situation and ensure we are responding with clarity and good judgment.

“Protecting the peace of Lagos is non-negotiable. I value the honest conversations around the table and the shared commitment to protecting the peace of our State.

“I remain committed to the peace and security of the lives and property of all Lagosians.”
