The Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) has given the assurance that Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) aka petrol will, in a few days be sufficiently available across the country.
Its Executive Secretary, Mr. Clement Isong, gave the assurance, saying: “So, I am hopeful that within the next few days, the distribution challenges will be surmounted and the product will be available throughout the country.”
He said the product is available offshore, regretting that the challenge is conveying it onshore due to the financial implication.
He, however, noted that there are already discussions on how to transport the product onshore.
According to Isong, following the meeting, more transporters are willing to provide the vessels to convey the petrol to onshore.
“We should be able to work with the transporters better to bring the product to the stations.
“It may take a few days for the queues to clear, but we believe that the queues will clear.
“There is enough supply but the bulk of the supply is marine in the vessels,” Isong said.
