Fire broke out in the early hours of Monday at the Ogbomoso residence of the late former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo State, injuring two persons.
The Director of operations, Oyo State Fire Service, Ismail Adeleke, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Adeleke said the fire service got a distress call about 8.30 a.m. from the managing director of Parrot101.1FM in Ogbomoso Tolu Ikusagba.
He said the cause of the fire incident could not be immediately ascertained, adding, however, that the fire had been put out.

Adeleke said one of those affected by the fire had severe burns, adding that updates would be provided about the incident.
However, an eyewitness who spoke on condition of anonymity, told NAN that the fire was caused by gas explosion.
The eyewitness claimed the incident led to the death of one person which was yet to be confirmed by the authorities.
