The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the postponement of the resumption date of 112 Federal Unity Colleges across the country.
The resumption earlier scheduled for January 5 has now been shifted to January 12, 2025, according a circular to all Principals dated December 30, with Ref: SAF/27/DSSE/US/GM/C.I/1/2.
Titled: “extension of resumption date of 112 Federal Unity Colleges (FUCs),” and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, the ministry cited going renovation works in most of the colleges as the reason.
The circular read in part: “I write to inform you that the Honourable Minister of State for Education has approved the extension of the resumption date for the 2nd term of 2024/2025 Academic Session of FUCs from 5th January, 2025 to Sunday, 12th January, 2025.
“The extension is due to the ongoing renovation works in most of the FUCS.”
