There are indications that the Federal government may have approved an outstanding N650 billion subsidy payment to Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN).
The association has hinted that the Federal government may have forwarded a request to the National Assembly for appropriation of the payment of the said amount.
The association, in a statement issued by its chairman Prince Dapo Abiodun, and Executive Secretary, Olufemi Adewole, said the latest development followed discussions between DAPPMAN and the Federal government on how to resolve the debt issue.
The DAPPMAN had on February 20 issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Federal government requesting it to settle the N650 billion debt owed its members.
