FG announces new vacancies, details of how to apply

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the opening of application portal for several mid-management positions in the Federal Fire Service, inviting suitably qualified Nigerians to apply.

The vacancies, published on November 25, 2025, include positions for Deputy Controller of Fire (CONPASS 14), Assistant Controller of Fire (CONPASS 13), Chief Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 12), Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 11), and Deputy Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 10).

According to the Board, applications must be submitted within one week of the publication through the official email address: info@cdcfib.gov.ng

It stressed that candidates are allowed to apply for only one position, warning that multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification.

The CDCFIB also outlined strict eligibility requirements. Applicants must already be employees of Federal, State or local government ministries, departments or agencies and must meet the minimum height requirement of 1.65m for men and 1.60m for women. They are also expected to be physically and mentally fit, possess a letter of identification from their local government of origin, and provide evidence of confirmation of appointment.

In addition, applicants are required to submit three years’ APER/PMS reports, certified true copies of their record of service, medical certificates of fitness from a government-recognized hospital, and copies of previous appointment letters. The Board noted that candidates with criminal records or financial embarrassment will not be considered, and personnel of other paramilitary services are not eligible to apply.

A statement by the Secretary to the Board, Maj.-Gen A. M. Jibril (rtd), emphasized that the application process is entirely free of charge. All documents must be submitted in PDF format on or before December 15, 2025.

The Board advised applicants to ensure they follow the guidelines carefully to avoid disqualification.
