* Says: Don’t show off your cars on campus
The Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, has prohibited students of the institution from using their vehicles on campus.
The institution gave the order via a memo by its Registrar, Mr. B.O Dara. He said the decision was taken during an emergency management meeting held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 on the “use of vehicles by students and their flamboyant display of wealth on campus.”
The school said only staff are allowed to drive their vehicles into the campus after identifying themselves at the gate, while students using cars are not allowed to take them inside.
