Enugu still under sit-at-home spell despite Gov Mbah’s counter order

Schools, markets and sundry business premises in Enugu still remain shut on Mondays in observance of sit-at-home order despite its cancellation by Governor Pater Mbah.

Governor Mbah, through a statement by his media team on June 3, cancelled the sit-at-home order of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), threatening to sanction businesses or outlets obeying the proscribed group’s order in the State.

However, reports say most of the markets did not open today, while streets and motor parks remained deserted.

Also, schools, offices, banks, shops, supermarkets, including filling stations, hotels and other public places were all shut.

Meanwhile, there have been no security breaches as the military and Police are seen patrolling the streets.
