Shocked by the volume of unclaimed certificates of its graduates of many years, the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has told such category of graduands of the institution to come forward and collect what is theirs.
In a June 25, 2021 notice by the university’s Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Egbe, said the institution is shocked to discover over 42,000 unclaimed certificates of persons who had graduated dating back several years ago.
“The University Management is shocked by this abnormality, and therefore, directs that all those who have not collected their certificates for several years of graduation should do so immediately,” Egbe said.
He, however, warned that those who fail to heed the call three months hence will be surcharged subsequently.
