A cleric, Pastor Ugo Nwangoro, recently gifted cash to widows to support their businesses, as well as pupils and students to pay their school fees.
Pastor Ugo Nwangoro, who is the Founder, Daily Confessions Outreach Ministry aka DC – Family, an online ministry, gave these gifts at an event, which had the theme, “Widow Empowerment Programme and Back-To-School Support”.
The event, which held at the Transformation Christian Centre, FESTAC Town, Lagos, is the eleventh edition of the DC Family’s outreach to the less-privileged, and coincided with its Founder’s birthday anniversary.
The ministry gave some widows N50,000 cash, while some others got N100, 000 to support their businesses.
Primary school pupils got N20,000; N30,000 and N50,000 to secondary school students, respectively, to support their education.
Speaking at the event, Pastor Nwangoro stressed the importance of compassion and charity, saying that about 140 widows have benefited from DC Widows Support Scheme and currently 22 students are on the DC Education Support Scheme every school academic term.
According to him, the quarterly gift presentation has been empowering the beneficiaries from its inception four years ago.
“The seeds of faith, which comes from Daily Confessions Family members’ contributions, and few key supporters as the Dynamic Ladies of Michigan, and 2Ark Charities, both in the USA, is to lift vulnerable persons (especially Widows and Out-Of-School Children), out of poverty, has an anointing of multiplication when properly utilised.
“We are going to be monitoring beneficiaries to ensure they grow in their businesses and to return glory to God,” he said.
The cleric said that recipients were selected from vulnerable backgrounds, which is the focus of the body of Christ to fulfill the gospel.
Pastor Nwangoro and the ministers present offered prayers for the widows, the less privileged in the society and the nation for God’s blessings and protection.
Some of the beneficiaries included Sabi Kabiru, a four-year-old son of a slain police officer resident in Satellite Town, Lagos; six-year-old James Are, and twelve-year-old David Zannu.
Prosper Simon, Wisdom Ezechi and others added to the list of beneficiaries.
Daily Confessions Outreach Ministry has grown its membership through online (WhatsApp) platform with daily publishing of “Confessions for Today” with testimonies shared daily on the platform, and currently has members all over the world.
