The Second Republic governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, is dead.
Born 21 August 1936, the elder statesman reportedly died Wednesday morning, at the age of 84 years.
A former senator from the State, Senator Shehu Sani, who disclosed this in his Twitter handle, said Alhaji Musa died in his Kaduna home.
Sani said: “Balarabe Musa; Inna lillahi wainna Illayhir rajiun. May Allah grant him Aljanna Firdausi. Amin.”
Musa, a left-wing politician, was elected Governor of Kaduna State during the Second Republic.
He held office from October 1979 until he was impeached on 23 June, 1981.
