Atiku’s aide accuses Ikpeazu of treachery after joining Wike to undermine Peter Obi

Daniel Bwala, spokesperson of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential Campaign Council, has accused Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu of aligning with his Rivers State counterpart Nyesom Wike to undermine Peter Obi in the February 25 presidential election.

Bwala, through his official Twitter handle, made the accusation in reaction to a statement credited to Ikpeazu in which he lamented over an alleged conspiracy against Igbo in Nigeria, to deny them the Presidency.

But without mincing words, Bwala said the alleged statement does not fit Okezie Ikpeazu’s mouth.

According to him, Ikpeazu was supposed to declare his support for his fellow kinsman in the 2023 presidential election but he chose to follow Wike to support Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, during the election.

Bwala said: “I read a story credited to Gov Ikpeazu saying there was a conspiracy to deny the Igbo presidency. Imagine a man who followed with fanfare, Wike, who was working for Tinubu, when he could have openly declared support for his kinsman, now in a desperate move for acceptance.  Sad!”
