Some suspected gunmen, on Saturday morning, razed the country home of the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor, at Awo-Omanma in the Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State.
Reports say the attackers arrived at the Igbo leader’s home in vehicles, and threw explosive devices at the house.
The renowned diplomat was not at home when the attackers stormed.
An unidentified native reportedly said: “The country home of Prof George Obiozor was burnt. The CCTV cameras captured the attack. Thank God Prof was not at home when they (attackers) stormed.”
At the time filing this report on Saturday, the police were yet to make any official statement in respect of the incident.
