APC’s National Legal Adviser quits party in protest over Muslim-Muslim ticket

The decision by the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 election, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to run a Muslim-Muslim ticket appears to be causing ripples in the party as Daniel H. Bwala, the party’s National Legal Adviser, has resigned from the party in protest.

Tinubu on Sunday announced Senator Kashim Shettima, former Governor of Borno State as his running mate.

Bwala announced his decision to quit the ruling party via his Twitter handle on this (Sunday) evening.

He said: “Tonight I officially resigned my membership of Official APC on principles and conviction that I hold so dear. At this time of our national existence, our efforts and our energy should gravitate towards uniting our people.”
