APC national chairmanship nomination form goes for N20m, deputy N10m

  • Buhari’s ally Mustapha first to buy nomination form

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has put a N20 million price tag on its national chairmanship nomination form.

Aspirants for the office of Deputy National Chairmanship will pay N10 million each, while other positions in the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party will attract N5 million each.

The National Convention of the party is slated for Saturday, March 26.

Report says the sale of nomination forms, which was billed to start on Monday, March 14, will close on Friday.

Already, Saliu Mustapha, an ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, has reportedly purchased the nomination form, becoming the first to take a practical step for the office of National Chairman of the APC.

Mustapha is a former Deputy National Chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC), Buhari’s party prior to the merger with ACN, which birthed the APC.
