*Demands N5bn compensation for alleged defamation
The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has served notice to file a lawsuit against President Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga, for saying that he (Obi) should be held responsible if anarchy befalls Nigeria arising from the planned nationwide protest over hunger and economic hardship in the country.
Obi wants Onanuga to pay him the sum of N5 billion as compensation for the alleged defamation.
Obi’s notice was served on his behalf by the law firm of Alex Ejesieme (SAN) and Co.
