Anambra guber: PDP, APC in rare alliance to unseat Gov Soludo

Members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State have thrown their weight behind the governorship aspiration of Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 8, 2025 election.

In a brief remark while introducing the PDP members and stalwart to Ukachukwu and his key campaign organization heads on Saturday, leader of the group, Hon. Joseph Madubeze, vowed they wouldn’t relent until Soludo is dethroned.

Madubueze said that he was speaking the collective decision and minds of all PDP members and executives from the seven councils making up the Anambra North Senatorial zone as it concerns the November 8 governorship election.

He emphasized that it is unfortunate that the incumbent Soludo administration disappointed the citizens, especially the pains and hardship it has been visiting on residents of the State.

So they vowed to ally with someone with demonstrable progressive credentials and mind like Ukachukwu to remove Soludo.

A cross-section of the people lamented that they have been subjected to untold hardship instead of providing democratic dividends by the Soludo-led All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Madubueze told the APC candidate that those present were only representatives of their groups, describing him (Ukachukwu) as a ‘Daniel’ who has come to judgment.

He emphasized that the Senatorial zone has unanimously declared their full support for Ukachukwu.

The people admitted that the APC for a resounding transformation of the State.

Prince Ukachukwu welcomed them warmly, commending their resolve to team up with him to achieve the aim of all people of goodwill in the State that have resolved to remove Soludo at the ballot on November 8, 2025.

A party chieftain, Emeka Ezejimofor from Ward 5, Fegge Onitsha, Nkechi Okosi from Ward 4, Onitsha North, and Joy Ukwu Odakpu from Onitsha Ward 3 stated that the purpose of their visits was to identify with the Ikukuoma campaign team to deliver APC candidate in the forthcoming election. They said: “We will assiduously work with you and deliver the mandate come November 8.”
In his response, Ukachukwu assured all of his readiness to partner with them, and advised them to work hard for the success of the election.

The APC candidate promised not to betray them if they massively vote him into power, advising all the seven constituent local government areas should join the campaign council, identify with their wards and be part of the Agricultural Loan that would be given randomly to them.
