The Enugu State government has ordered its workers to start full working week attendance including Mondays.
The government noted that the sit-at-home order has contributed to immense losses to the State and created low productivity and laxity in public service.
According to the government circular signed by the Head of Service Ken Ugwu, the government recalled its earlier circular of June 2, 2023, on the same issue and warned that defaulters would face stiff disciplinary action.
The circular dated June 30, 2023, enjoined all the permanent secretaries as well as heads of extra ministerial departments to bring the notice to the attention of all the workers.
Governor Peter Mbah, during his maiden security meeting ordered the cancelation of the Monday sit-at-home order imposed to protest the arrest and detention of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples Of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal government.
