Barely 24 hours after his Aunt prophesied that something good was coming his way, a 24-year-old accountant, Hussain Kehinde Garuba, became the proud owner of a 3-bedroom bungalow in Lagos, courtesy of Glo Festival of Joy promo.
Hussain’s Aunt, while on a visit last Sunday, had reportedly advised him to pray fervently, that something good was coming his way. Hussain took the advice seriously, and just a day after, his story changed.
A graduate of the Lagos State Polytechnic, Hussain was pleasantly surprised that his Aunt’s prophecy, on January 12, became a reality through Globacom, when the draw for the house was held in Lagos.
“I was stunned when I got that call. I just wasn’t expecting something as big as that coming my way so early in the year,” said Hussain, who still lives with his grandmother on Lagos Island.
Hussain said he had always hoped and prayed that one day, he would build a house of his own, hence his focus on completing his ICAN certification next year.
“I could barely sleep last night, as I kept pondering what Glo has done to me,” he said as he collected his house keys, adding that he would forever cherish the network.
Hussain’s family members and friends turned the house venue of the event to a carnival ground after the presentation, singing and dancing to the good fortune of their own.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Science and Technology, who was Special Guest at the presentation ceremony, Mr. Hakeem Fahm, lauded Globacom for putting smiles on the faces of its subscribers across the country.
He said that what Globacom is doing is an incredible act of generosity, adding that it is worthy of emulation.
Globacom’s Regional Manager, Mr. Jude Jacobs, enjoined Glo subscribers to participate in the promo by dialing *611# and recharging their lines as appropriate for the various prizes.
“Subscribers who desire to become landlords and landladies of 3-bedroom houses like today’s winner courtesy of Glo Festival of Joy must make data subscription(s) of at least N20,000 during the promo period,” he said.
The event was attended by the representative of National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Lagos office, Mrs. Ene Ochagla, Iyaloja General of Ibeju Lekki, Olori Elemoro and Nollywood actor, Mercy Johnson Okojie.
The Glo Festival of Joy promo is offering 20 houses and thousands of other amazing prizes including 24 brand new cars, power generators, sewing machines and rechargeable fans to subscribers to reward their loyalty to the network.
