Abia Guber: Coalition of opposition adopts Alex Otti in Obingwa

A group known as Coalition of Obingwa Progressives (COP) has adopted the Labour Party flag bearer, Dr. Alex Otti, for the March 11 governorship election in Abia State. 

The group also adopted the Labour Party House of Assembly candidates for Obingwa East (Agalaba), Hon. Peter Azubuike and his Obingwa (West) counterpart, Hon. Mrs. Victoria Onwubuiko. 

Receiving the communique on behalf of Dr. Otti, the resolution signed by the COP’s Coordinator, Hon. Ebere Uzoukwa, the Deputy Coordintor, Hon. Iheanyi Nwachkwu, the Publicity Secretary, Cleadon Ubani, and other members of the Coalition at Obingwa LGA Labour Party secretariat on Tuesday, the Deputy Director General (DDG) of Alex Otti Campaign Organisation, Dr. C. C Okwuonu, commended the group for resolving to support the liberation of Abia State through Otti’s candidacy. 

While promising to communicate the group’s position to Otti and the House of Assembly candidates in Obingwa East and West, Dr. Okwuonu enjoined members of the group and Abians to vote massively for Labour Party at next Saturday’s election. 

Earlier in his remarks, the Coordinator of COP, Hon. Ebere Uzoukwa, said the adoption of Alex Otti and House of Assembly candidates in Obingwa was influenced by their character, antecedent and people-oriented manifestoes, which according to him, will drive total liberation and recovery of Abia State.
